We will respond to you with a verbal description of the total process which corresponds to the following steps and payment procedure. |

A custom rug design will be based on cost per square foot plus a negotiated design fee, plus shipping. The square foot cost will be based on size of rug, number of colors and design complexity. The process will take 7-8 months. |

Working with client to establish detailed design criteria and color preferences for the rug. |
|
b. |
Preparing a preliminary colored design for the rug for client approval.
The cost for this phase would be 1/4 of the design charge. |
|
c. |
Upon approval of the preliminary design, a final enlarged colored
design would be completed and yarn samples of actual colors will be
assembled for client approval. The cost for this phase would be 1/2
of the design charge. |
|
d. |
Upon approval of the final enlarged colored design, a dimensional
and detailed color identification drawing would be completed and all
the information forwarded to the weaver in Nepal. The cost for this
phase would be 1/4 of the design charge (completing 100% of the design
charge). |

Upon your approval of the final enlarged colored design, a strike-off,
a 2x2 foot segment of the rug, will be sent to you for your approval
of quality and design (this prior to putting the rug on the loom).
Upon your approval of the strike-off, the handknotting of the rug
will take 3-5 months, depending on size. 1/2 payment for the rug would
be required to start the process and put the rug on the loom. The
cost for the rug would be based on cost per square foot plus shipping.
The square foot cost will be based on size of rug, number of colors
and design complexity. An in-progress photo will be sent to you to
show the progress of the rug on the loom in Nepal. See techniques
and quality. |
